My site evaluation were held remotely. I presented 1 H&Ps and 5 pharm cards during the first site visit and 1 H&P, 5 pharm cards, and a journal article pertaining to the H&P. The format was different during these evaluations as compared to other evaluations as we were expected to present the pertinent aspects of the HPI and physical. My site evaluator asked specific questions regarding my HPI which made it challenging but also allowed me to learn a lot. He emphasized the importance of asking questions based on the differential diagnosis you are thinking of in your head. This helps to rule in and out diagnoses based on the patient’s answers. During both visits, I was asked to give an explanation why each differential should be included or why it shouldn’t be the top choice. I also had to include detailed plans and include what treatment would look like after the patient was discharged as well. Overall, I learned a lot from these site evaluations.
